Blended Worship Service
The 10:00 am blended worship service combines both traditional and contemporary elements including “call and response” readings, hymns, praise music, prayers read out by the entire congregation, a sermon from one of our pastors, organ music, special musical solos, Chancel Choir, and our Praise Band, and takes place in our Sanctuary.
Here at First United Methodist Church, worship invites you into the presence of the living God with focus on the Word of God and sermons relevant to your life in today’s world.
- Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month and is always open to all who wish to share in this sacrament of God’s grace.
- Coffee Fellowship – a time of fellowship and refreshments – is offered at 9 am and after the service in the fellowship hall and is a great time to meet people. All are welcome!
- From September to June, Sunday School is available and begins at 9 am during the typical school calendar term. We maintain a Safe Sanctuary Policy to help make our church a holy place of safety for all children. You may register your children any Sunday morning. **Sunday School typically does not take place during the summer or on holiday weekends.
Special Worship
At various times throughout the year we hold special worship services to honor significant events in the liturgical calendar (Ash Wednesday, Holy Week & Easter, Thanksgiving, Advent & Christmas Eve) or to meet the needs of community (healing services, blessings of the animals, etc.).
